This morning, we had to leave our site in Silveton (where we have been since May 26th. It was really starting to feel like home :( The "Mile High Jeep Club" comes into Silverton this week and there were no other sites available. We checked the weather map and Creede looked like a good spot to still enjoy some cool weather. If we could have driven the RVs over Stony Pass, it would have been a short trip, but that is definitely a Jeep trail. So, it was a 172 mile journey over Wolf Creek Pass to our new site.
Jim took this picture last night of a Jeepster like the ones we both owned back in the 70s,
but didn't know each other. Same color.
Here we are hooking up the Jeep for towing.

On the hwy south to Durango, this cloud hanging over the mountain looked like a volcano erupting!
The highway out of Durango into Creede covered some scenic areas.
We were wondering if this valley got much snow when we saw this steep roof on the barn
and figured that was our answer.
