Since we have been having trouble getting thru on any of the trails, we chose to go to Ridgeway, a nice valley near Montrose. Once again, we were unable to complete the trail because of snowy roads. Still able to see some beautiful scenery though.








Jim was able to practice his "cow call" at one of the many farms.






















































































































Mr. "My Jeep Can Go Anywhere" got stuck in the snow and had to be pulled out. There's a good story here, but I am holding it "hostage" for now! ;o







































After a late lunch on the patio of the most awesome Mexican Restaurant in the world in Ouray, we traveled part way up Yankee Boy. We stopped early on this trail because it was getting late and we didn't want to be driving out in the dark. Look at some of the roads and you will understand why.
















































































On the way to Ridgeway, we saw a motorcycle accident on one of the curves. We followed an RV towing a vehicle riding their brake on all the curves and watched their brakes start smoking. They were finally able to find a turn-out and Jim stopped to talk to them and explain how to gear down and not ride the brakes. It turned out to be two women who had just purchased the rig and didn't have a clue what they were doing. They were so lucky to not have lost their brakes completely and gone over the cliff.
